After her French Open 2020 withdrawal, Serena Williams indicated that her injury might keep her out for the rest of the season. Her coach Patrick Mouratoglou expressed even stronger concerns about the same. If she cannot return in 2020, Williams will enter another year still chasing that elusive 24th Grand Slam title.

At 39 years of age, time is running out for the American tennis legend, according to another iconic former female player, Chris Evert. The 18-time Grand Slam winner believed the US Open 2020 was Williams’ best chance at equaling Margaret Court’s record. Evert also shared her thoughts on what Williams should do to have a better chance in subsequent events.

Evert continued, “It really depends on her commitment to her fitness level I think. Look, the tools are there, the shots are there, the power is there, the mentality is there, she is brilliant in those aspects.
