The 19-year-old broke through the scene when she claimed the US Open title last year. Although the Brit hasn’t translated that success in this season, she will go into the US Open with boosted confidence after defeating Serena Williams recently.
Emma Raducanu on injury concern
On Friday, the 19-year-old broke down in the middle of a practice session. She looked in trouble and pointed toward her right hand while her coach, Dmitry Tursunov, came forward to console her. It was a scary moment for her fans, but the Brit later clarified the situation.
“I think that today, the practice, I had, like, a few small things, got a couple of blisters, a bit of a niggle here and there,” she said. Adding further to it, the 19-year-old said, “Can’t really explain myself, to be honest. I’m sure everyone in this room has probably had a day like that. It is what it is.”
The teenage sensation also assured her fans of her fitness. “I mean, I have no concerns of, like, an issue, no,” she concluded.
