2019 US Open champion, Bianca Andreescu has been off the court since October last year. It’s not because of some injuries, as she is currently nursing her mental health. Earlier, the 21-year-old Canadian player announced that she will not take part in the Australian Open. Still, we don’t have any information about her return date and tournament at the moment.

The former World no.4, has had many injury concerns in the past, where she almost took a year off. However, this time Bianca needed some time off to recover from a tough couple of years because of the pandemic. Currently, she’s spending some quality time in Nosara, Costa Rica, as she shared her happy memories on social media.

Bianca Andreescu shares her happy memories from Costa Rica

To recover from mental health issues, Bianca Andreescu attended the Wisdom and Well-being Program in Costa Rica. From that program, the Canadian player shared some beautiful memories from her visit on Instagram.

Bianca shared many photos and videos, and some of them were truly incredible. In her Instagram post, we saw a beautiful sea beach, Bianca on a horse, glimpses of the Wisdom and Well-being Program, delicious food, beautiful scenery, and some monkeys as well. Clearly, Bianca felt peace and joy from that trip, as she wants to visit that place again. 

In that caption, she wrote, “Wow. My time @bluespiritcostarica during the Wisdom and Well-being Program was unforgettable!! I went there to rediscover myself and have some alone time but it turned out to be so much more… I met many incredible people, experienced new things, the speakers/ teachers down there taught me so much, and most importantly I had lots of fun. Can’t wait to come back!”

Can Bianca make a spectacular return on the WTA tour?

Last year in December, Bianca posted a heartfelt message on social media about her struggles, both mentally and physically. She wrote, “As you all know, the past two years have been very challenging for me for a variety of reasons. Especially this year in particular, I spent multiple weeks in isolation, quarantining which affected me greatly – both mentally and physically.”

Bianca hasn’t played a single match Since Indian Wells last year and it seems like she will miss the Indian Wells this year as well. However, she did look excited about the return of VanOpen in Canada, which will start in August. It looks like she wants to play in this tournament. Before that, there’s the French Open, and hopefully, she recovers well in time and makes a spectacular comeback in Paris.
