After the conclusion of the first-round fixtures of the Charleston Open, the stage is set up for a high-profile match between two WTA big guns. On her home turf, the newly crowned Miami Open champion, Danielle Collins, will square off against the second seed, Ons Jabeur, in the round of 32.
The clay court season has started with some high-octane action on the unique green courts at the WTA 500 event taking place in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Entering the Charleston Open as an unseeded participant, the American tennis star recently breezed past her Spanish opponent Paula Badosa, in a straight-set game, 6-1, 6-4.

Ons Jabeur, on the other hand, is coming to the Charleston Open after her initial round defeats in the Sunshine Doubles. In her previous campaign in Miami Gardens, the Tunisian player failed to overcome her unseeded opponent, Elina Avanesyan, in the round of 64. Even at the Indian Wells Masters, Jabeur tasted a first-round defeat at the hands of her American colleague, Katie Volynets.
