Magda Linette, on the other hand, is entering the clay court tournament as an unseeded participant. In her opening round match, the Polish player defeated her Croatian opponent, Petra Martić, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Linette then overcame the 13th-seeded Dayana Yastremska in a three-set thriller, as she now reached the round of 16.
