Childhood Coach Makes Enticing Prophecy on Serena Williams’ Retirement U-Turn With Sister Venus Williams’ Reference

Rick Macci is particularly well-known for his work with the Williams sisters, whom he began coaching when they were young children. Macci posted the answer to every Serena fan question right now- “Will Serena Williams ever hold a racket on the court again?” Suffice it to say that Macci has a somewhat partially positive answer to this question. However, it is alone enough that Macci’s opinion of Serena stems from knowing her in and out over the years. All that fans are now waiting to see is how right Rick is, in his opinion about Serena’s career.

Serena Williams might be back soon?

Talking about the question on everyone’s mind, Rick Macci finally decided to address it as Serena’s ex-coach. After she retired during the US Open 2022, it is an understatement to say that her fans have been terribly upset. Even today, on every post Serena shares of her family time, or her business ventures, her fans flood the comment sections asking for an ETA on her return.

Addressing this issue, Macci tweeted, “Everybody is asking will @Serenawilliams  play again. My answer is in doubles for sure with the one she has been skipping and holding hands with since age 9.” 

He tweeted this response with a goat emoji, signifying how Serena is the GOAT for him in tennis. Also, he refers to the sweet bond between her and her sister Venus Williams.

Macci’s reply takes us back to Venus’ post from last year when she was asked by an Instagram fan about her doubles game. She had replied to the question with a picture of her and Serena. She said, “I only play doubles with this one.”
