Chris Evert’s Ex-husband, Who Was a Dear Friend of Greg Norman, Once Had Harsh Words to Say About the Couple’s Divorce in 2009 – ‘Two Alpha Dogs Going At It’

The American tennis legend, Chris Evert, had one of the most incredible careers in the sport. However, off the court, the 18-time singles Grand Slam champion has struggled, particularly with her failed marriages with some of the most prominent figures in the sporting world. Notably, Evert’s second marriage with the former Alpine ski racer, Andy Mill, and their eventual divorce shocked many fans.

After their divorce, Mill revealed that he was heartbroken when the former US Open champion broke their marriage and later married his then-best friend, Greg Norman. Mill did not hold back after Evert and Norman got divorced, just 15 months after their marriage.

The former Alpine ski racer once made a shocking revelation by stating that he “cried routinely” after his divorce from the American tennis legend. Andy Mill has three children with Chris Evert and he was devastated when she left him for his close friend, Greg Norman. The former US Open champion and Mill were involved in an 18-year marriage. After their divorce, Evert married the former golf pro, Greg Norman, who was also a close friend of Mill.

However, due to their differing priorities, Evert and Norman also got divorced after a short period of their romantic relationship. After their divorce, Mill expressed his opinion on the couple and why they got divorced. The former Olympic skiing champion stated that he was not surprised his ex-wife’s marriage with his close friend crumbled.

Mill stated, “Nothing surprises me with those two. Look at the trail of destruction they left behind them for this fling.”

He further made some harsh comments about the divorced couple. Mill went on to compare his former wife, Evert, and Norman to “two alpha dogs going at it,” following their failed marriage.

The 18-time singles Grand Slam champion once expressed her deep regret for breaking her marriage with Andy Mill. During an interview, Evert made a surprising revelation about her failed marriage with the former Alpine ski racer. Evert stated that she should never have left Mill after their 18-year marriage.

Evert went on to say that she broke a lot of hearts after she left Mill for his close friend. Furthermore, she also expressed her disappointment in not solving the problems when they were getting divorced. Evert added that she should have communicated with Mill, but she didn’t. As a result, she ended up regretting her decision of breaking “a good, solid marriage.”

Since then, Evert has urged people to solve the issues in their relationships before opting for a divorce.
