Recently, in an interview with a Danish outlet, Piotr Wozniacki talked about how she can be a tough competitor in the event.

He said, “I’ve seen her play a couple of times against Alja Tomljanovic, who has won a slightly smaller tournament recently. She cleansed her completely. Those players who are around the top 40-50 – they beat them. And she also beats most top 30 players. So I am very confident.” 

Moreover, after seeing her performance in Miami, he revealed that the former world number one looks good, and since she has no injury troubles, he is quite confident in her participation. The mother of two made a comeback to tennis after 3 years and took part in the North American hardcourt swing.

In addition, he also disclosed that he has seen her play well and dismiss the former world number 32, Alja Tomljanovic, in practice matches, which is a good sign in itself. She was last seen playing at the 2020 Australian Open, and after that, she moved away from the athletic circuit. Just a few weeks ago, she also revealed the true reason behind her Australian Open comeback.

Along with that, she shared a video in which the 2018 Australian Open champion talked about the reason behind making a comeback to the tournament.

Caroline Wozniacki said, “I feel like I have so much support there. I obviously won my first grand slam there, and it’s just the ‘Happy Slam’, so that was why I made the decision. “ Further, she highlighted that it’s incredible that she got another chance to compete in Australia after she retired temporarily from the sport. But now that she is back in the game again, she has a reason to come back to the tournament.
