Coco Gauff and her partner, Caty McNally, ended up as the runners-up of the US Open 2021 in the doubles category. Even though the two played some really great tennis, they failed to finish on the winning side- losing to Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai in the finals in three sets.
Even though Coco Gauff failed to leave a mark in the singles category at the US Open 2021, there is some great news coming for her and her fans. Despite losing to Sloane Stephens in the second round, she achieved her career-high rankings after the Grand Slam.

Gauff is now the new World No.19 player as she climbed four positions after her performance at the US Open 2021. It is for the first time that she has broken into the list of the top 20 WTA players. Interestingly, she is just 17-years-old right now and can go even higher if she continues to play with the same kind of momentum.
Other than her, two other teenagers, Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez, have gained a huge sum of WTA points. While Raducanu jumped 127 places and is the new World No.23 player, Fernandez climbed 45 spots and is at the 28th spot in the rankings now.
