Iga Swiatek will be at the top of the list when talking about the most successful player in women’s tennis over the past few years. The former World Number 1 has won four Grand Slam titles in the last 4 years apart from consistent performances in other tournaments. As a result, she is one of the top players in the women’s circuit and one of the highest earners in the sport. Although she has some popular sponsorship deals, her marketability falls behind that of Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu.

Iga Swiatek falls behind Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu in marketability

Recently, the list of the highest-earning female athletes in 2023 was released. American sensation, Coco Gauff, topped the list followed by Iga Swiatek. While Gauff earned $22.7 Million, Swiatek closely followed her with $21.9 Million in earnings. Raducanu was a distant fourth with $16.2 Million in earnings.

However, what is interesting to note is that both Gauff and Raducanu have greater earnings than Swiatek when it comes to endorsements. Despite Swiatek’s massive popularity and flashy sponsorship deals, she falls behind Gauff and Raducanu in terms of marketability.

Both Gauff and Raducanu have earned $16 Million in endorsements in 2023. On the other hand, Swiatek has $12 Million from her sponsorship deals. Earlier this year, Swiatek joined hands with Roger Federer’s multi-billion dollar brand, On along with Ben Shelton. She revealed what led her to team up with this brand.

During an interview earlier this year, the Polish star got candid on why she joined Federer’s popular brand On. She was accompanied by Shelton, who also joined the brand along with her.

Talking about this, she said, “I’ve always felt like On is going to be that brand that is really going to succeed—and I wanted to be a part of that. Obviously, they work with Roger. He worked on the shoe, but I also want to work on the apparel because On Running has great shoes, but I think more people should talk about the apparel — it’s amazing. Soon I’ll also have my own tennis shoe, which is exciting.”

While Swiatek is no doubt a leader when it comes to on-court earnings, she will hope that her popularity leads to better sponsorship deals in the future. It’ll be an interesting race with Gauff, with both players at the top of their game.
