Coco Gauff Gets Her Name Imprinted to a New Sneaker Model as She Takes a Big Leap in Her Off-Court Branding

American tennis star Coco Gauff is making rapid strides in her career. At an age of just 18, she has climbed the ranks and is currently at no 11 spot. Earlier this year, she gave her best performance in the French Open. With a brilliant display, she made it to the final of the event. However, she went down against Iga Swiatek in the finals. An improvement in her game has exponentially affected her brand value as well.

Recently, the American has launched a signature shoe with the sports brand New Balance.

Coco Gauff launches signature shoes

Benefitting from her performances, Gauff has landed a deal with New Balance to launch her first signature shoes. The company made an announcement about the same on its official Instagram account.

“The first of its kind. Introducing the Coco CG1, a signature shoe from @cocogauff and @newbalance. Launching August 26 in select markets globally,” the announcement read.

Later, the 18-year-old also thanked New Balance for the collaboration with an Instagram story. “The entire team at New Balance, from design to marketing, truly cares about me as a person and not just an athlete and that relationship allows us to create the Coco CG1,” she wrote.

Further, she described the look of her signature shoe. “The Coco CG1 is a vintage-looking shoe with a modern twist, and I am so excited to get this in stores and see how people style it,” she added.

Gauff came confident in the grass season after her final run in the Roland Garros. She entered a Berlin-based grass tournament to prepare herself for Wimbledon. She did well to defeat Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinals by 7-5, 6-4. Later she faced Ons Jabeur in the semifinal. However, she lost the match in straight sets.

In the Wimbledon Championships, she won her first two matches and advanced to the third round. However, went down to Amanda Anisimova in a three-set match.
