Reaching the finals of any Grand Slam is like a dream come true! Last year, it was Aryna Sabalenka who achieved the bigger dream by making it to the Australian Open finals and even winning the title. But this time it might be the Chinese tennis player, Qinwen Zheng, who has already made her place in the semi-final round of the tournament.

Qinwen Zheng doesn’t care who she is going to play against in Australian Open Final

Zheng has made it to the semi-finals of the tournament, and the most past the last hurdle of the Grand Slam, she will face Dayana Yastremska. On the other hand, it’s the 19-year-old American and the reigning Australian Open champion who will face another semi-final. During a post-match press conference, the 21-year-old was asked about who she would like to see as her opponent in the final.

She said, “You can’t think so far. I cannot even think about tomorrow is going to happen. I only can focus right now in this moment. I don’t have a preference. I don’t care who I’m gonna play against. Doesn’t matter. And I just gonna play my tennis. Also believe the best players, they are able to beat everyone. If I’m not able to beat one of them or another type, which means I have to improve more myself.”

Rather than giving a proper answer and picking up the player, she chooses to keep quiet and trust herself. Not only that, she even showed belief in her tennis skills and highlighted how, rather than focusing on the opponent, it is important to reach that part of the game first. Although she didn’t make a pick, she made her choices quite clear: rather than opponents, she is focusing on her game.
