As per Gauff, the way they perform on the court is highly inspirational. One cannot say that either one of them will lose the match, whatever the score may be. She further added that watching someone like her playing at such a high level and dominating helped her feel as though she could do the same.

I think, just honestly, the way they compete on the court. Um, they, you, there’s never a match where you can say like she’s out of it no matter the score and obviously what they stand for off the court seeing somebody that looked like me playing tennis, and, and this sport just really inspired me and just a domination,” Gauff said in the interview.
