Coco Gauff shined brightly, and her siblings followed suit under the same light. But her parents—especially her father, Corey Gauff—were the ones who helped her along the way more than anyone else! Given that their parents both have athletic backgrounds, Coco, Codey, and Cameron developed a passion for sports at a young age. Despite the fact that they all play different games, the family is close-knit. Each of her siblings has achieved success in their own unique manner, from Codey winning baseball medals to Cameron creating a sneaker for New Balance.

While the 20-year-old Coco is on the court all year round, her younger brother, Codey, is also playing on a different field. In a recent interview, their dad talked about handling the kids and their passion for different sports, “It’s tough for us, the parents, sometimes because we’re not at every game for them. Coco is actually playing right now while Codey’s game is going on.”

Gauff’s father loves every second of being a dad of several athletes, despite the fact that it can be challenging to watch his kids advance in their sports and in life. On the other hand, he wishes for them to keep getting better every day in both their personal and sporting endeavors.

Further, he added, “The main thing they need to continue to do is focus on their craft while always making sure to keep working hard to get better. They need to understand what they need to improve and to keep doing the things that they do well. I want them to really have fun along the way because they’re going to be living their lives longer without sport than they are with it.”

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that Corey takes great satisfaction and joy in helping his children achieve their goals and witnessing their success along the way. Subsequently, recently, Codey also gave his parents a proud moment with his recent baseball leap in his rising baseball career.

Coco Gauff’s mother’s pride over Codey’s baseball rise

Codey has been making significant strides in high school baseball, which makes his mother, Candi, proud. She shared a picture of her son posing on the field with a baseball bat on her official Instagram account. Notably, Codey was a member of the San Diego Padres Scout Team earlier in the season. To everyone’s surprise, he took full advantage of the chance and helped the club win in his debut.

But his parents have previously showered the budding genius with praise. Codey’s father, Corey Gauff, spoke to “USA Baseball” previously and talked about how happy he was to see his kids achieve amazing new heights in their different careers. He said, “Codey played football for a little bit and some basketball, kind of arriving at baseball a little bit later in life than Coco did with tennis, but they both worked hard growing up.” Corey’s joy in his kids’ accomplishments demonstrates the family’s commitment to encouraging skill in a variety of sports.
