There is no doubt pickleball is growing at a rapid rate in the US while arousing the interest of many in the tennis community. Coco Gauff‘s legendary consultant, Brad Gilbert is no exception as he has also been inclined toward the new racket game. The American coach recently shared some important insight into the paddle sport while giving a huge shout-out to a new pickleball practice product.

However, the former tennis player advocating for a different racket game didn’t sit well with Serena Williams‘ former coach, Rennae Stubbs. Reacting to Gilbert’s recent pickleball act, the Australian coach dropped a cryptic reaction on social media.

Rennae Stubbs responds to Coco Gauff’s coach’s shout-out to pickleball

The American tennis coach recently shared a video clip in which he was spotted explaining some of the features of the new pickleball practice game, ‘Dink Master Wall’. While heaping praise on the new paddle sports product, Brad Gilbert asserted that pickleball players can now use it to check out their skills and techniques.

In a video on Twitter, the 62-year-old was heard saying, “Check out what we got, the Dink Master Wall. Drew Brees who played number 1 in UCLA now is involved in this Dink Master pickleball skill wall.”

“You can now come check out your skills, check your paddle, see how they play. It’s a very good little pickleball Dink Master option”.

Gilbert’s pickleball promotional social media post also caught the attention of Rennae Stubbs who cryptically reacted in the comments section. The Australian tennis coach said, “Oy 🙄”

Stubbs’ comment has not come as a huge surprise as she has often been quite vocal about her hate towards the new racket game.

The Aussie previously criticized  the construction of pickleball courts

An announcement regarding the construction of five new pickleball courts in New York City previously attracted a lot of flak from the WTA coach. Instead of putting up these paddle sports areas that would not require any entry fee, Stubbs suggested that the authorities should fix the tennis courts in the city.

The Aussie brutally claimed that there aren’t many options for people who want to play tennis in the surrounding areas. She further tweeted, “Also fix the courts u have! U know like the ones people play on with cracks and craters!“
