Coco Gauff and her family truly stick together like glue. The tennis star became the youngest winner of WTA Finals since Sharapova achieved the feat in 2004, the same year Gauff was born. Meanwhile, Cameron, her eleven-year-old brother, led the Delray Rocks 10U team to their fourth Super Bowl appearance. As the quarterback and captain of the team, he had a stellar season, but their defeat by the Miramar Wolverines ended a four-year championship streak. However, Gauff’s mother beamed with pride over his thoughtful post-match interview.

In that interview, Cameron displayed remarkable composure despite the loss. He shared his insights with maturity, stating, “I learned that you just need to keep trying. What I would learn from this all is that you shouldn’t quit, you just need to keep playing. At the end of the day, the outcome is not what you wanted; just keep working hard and go back out on the field.”

Cameron’s primary goal during the game was to uplift his teammates. He encouraged them with a confident, “It’s okay, guys. We just need to live another day.” This attitude reflects his maturity at such a young age and hints at his potential for greatness. While he motivated his team, their mother, Candi Gauff, took to Instagram to show her support. She reposted Cameron’s interview with a proud message, “@CameronGauff ❤❤.”

Alongside Candi, Coco Gauff also showed her love for her little brother. After the video for Cameron’s post-game interview dropped, Gauff reposted it to her story as well, captioned with a loving message, saying, “Aw my little brother, I’m so proud of him and of everyone on that team. ya’ll get them next time! 3 seasons in a row undefeated and only one loss in 4 seasons. so impressive! only up from here @camerongauff @delray_rocks_10u.” Her words show just how much love runs in the Gauff family. And perhaps they get it from their mother!

Candi is always eager to support her children. This year, she traveled with Coco to various tournaments and was spotted celebrating with her at the WTA Finals in Beijing. She makes it a point to show love and encouragement to all her kids equally!

For the unversed, Corey Gauff, Coco’s father, played basketball for Georgia State University, while Candi Gauff was a star heptathlete on the track and field team at Florida State University. “Candi was a very well-rounded athlete. She did the multi events, which meant she had to run, jump, hurdle, throw, all those things,” Terry Long, who coached Candi Gauff at FSU, told the Tallahassee Democrat in 2019.
