Sports runs deep in the Gauff family and Codey Gauff is no exception. He was earlier seen showcasing his skills as a baseball pitcher. Does Coco Gauff ever talk or exchange notes with her brothers on how to excel in sports? “Yeah, I think the biggest thing I talk about with Codey, not necessarily the aspects of the sport, but more so the mentality of the sport. He’s someone that I think puts his competitors on too much of a pedestal, or he used to. I think it’s like a fine line of showing respect to your opponents, still putting them, but believing you can do it.”

However, Coco Gauff revealed, “My dad has the opposite mentality where he’ll just disrespect people (smiling). I think I have the balance of knowing like, yeah, she’s great, she’s good at what she does, but also I can beat her…Tennis is a sport where you have to lead yourself, not other people.”

Gauff spoke about the values she has learned from her younger siblings

The 19YO rising star from Florida had earlier spoken about how being the eldest sibling has taught her to be responsible and be a role model to her brothers. She added, “I think honestly you learn almost more from kids that you do from adults at times because they are so, I guess, unbiased and carefree in the world. Especially my brother Codey. He has this really confident but low-key persona about him. That’s something that I really try to emulate on the court.”
