As the 27-year-old American tennis player faced an early exit in the tournament, she put the onus on her friend Gauff to do great in the last Grand Slam tournament of the year. Gauff certainly did that!

Taylor Townsend’s emotional message after Coco Gauff’s victory
While the 19-year-old American tennis sensation lifted the US Open title, her good friend, Townsend, was watching the historic moment at home. Recently, Townsend took to her Instagram stories to share a video in which she was watching Gauff during her presentation ceremony.
Along with that, she shared a series of crying emojis, expressing her emotions. She also gave a little health update regarding how, while she is in the middle of her recovery to get better for next year’s tennis season, her American fans have made her emotional with the victory. Townsend wrote, “I’m so proud of you!! I’m over here crying on the treatment table @cocogauff.”
