Confused Iga Swiatek Makes Blunder With Her Mix-Up of Venus Williams’ Infamous Red Dress for Katy Perry’s Signature Style

Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek‘s surprising response to a tennis outfit brought a toll of laughter among the tennis fraternity. Swiatek, along with other colleagues gathered to take part in an interesting game. While some players failed to answer correctly, Swiatek’s response shocked the viewers. This is because they didn’t expect the WTA star to drop such an unexpected name.
Swiatek, along with Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff participated in the game called Who Wore This In Miami. The participants were shown various dresses and they had to identify the player who donned it beautifully at the tournament across years. While Swiatek was able to answer correctly, her initial response at the game revealed the quirky side of this WTA star.
The official X (formerly Twitter) platform of WTA shared a clip, where they were shown Venus Williams‘s iconic lingerie-inspired red tennis outfit from her brand, EleVen. Swaitek was the first one to respond, however, she named Katy Perry as the dress’s iconic owner.

Afterward, the crew reminded Swiatek that these are about tennis players. Swiatek expressed an awkward moment when she responded back by saying- “I thought celebrities!” This Polish tennis star stuck to her answer as she said- “I would know that these are tennis players but honestly, the first one, I mean Katy Perry, She could have worn that so.”
Iga Swiatek’s response was a comic relief for her fans. She ultimately identified the dress’s real owner Venus Williams and scored her first point. Swiatek’s response might hint to fans about this Polish WTA star’s love for Katy Perry’s music. However, Swiatek’s taste in music brings a whole lot of genres under one roof.

Swiatek might surprise her fans by speaking of Katy Perry, however, in reality, she likes several genres. Her taste varies from rock to jazz. She was previously spotted warming up with Guns N Roses’s famous song Welcome to the Jungle before her matches.
About her music taste, Swiatek said- “Actually it’s weird because my parents aren’t listening to music and my older sister, so I kind of learned it on my own, I remember that I was traveling with many coaches when I was younger from the Polish Tennis Association and each one of them gave me something new.”
