Last year British writer Tom Bower hit the headlines when he claimed that Serena Williams denied being friends with Meghan Markle. However, this all came into question when Serena Williams was featured in the first episode of the critically acclaimed podcast, Archetypes, of Meghan Markle.

This issue has once again come to the limelight after a fan of Meghan Markle brought out the incident. The fan questioned Bower’s credibility and the facts with which he has claimed such things.
The friendship between Serena Williams and Meghan Markle jumps into the spotlight once again
The iconic duo of tennis legend Serena Williams and the Duchess of Sussex is one that has been revered a lot. However, as the British royal drama intensifies, a fan resurfaced the false claims made by British journalist Tom Bower. Bower wrote a book called ‘Revenge’ where he slandered Markle’s image. Besides that, he also claimed that Serena Williams did not consider Meghan Markle as her friend.
All of this came under scrutiny after the first episode of Archetypes. Meghan Markle’s podcast featured Serena Williams as its first guest and Williams talked about her loyal friendship.
Recently, a Meghan Markle fan took a dig at the British journalist for slandering Markle’s image. It stated, “Everything Tom Bower writes or says about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is a lie.” They also added, “He doesn’t know her, has probably never met or spoken to her but he professes to know all about her. I don’t understand that.”

Questioning all the Meghan Markle antics, they added, “And for those who say it must be true or she would sue, why should she?”
The question seems plausible because Serena Williams herself refuted his false claims. She called herself a “loyal friend”. Besides that, it is not the only time that Williams has backed Markle.
Williams spoke up for Meghan Markle in the renowned Harry & Meghan Netflix series
The 23-Grand Slam champion featured in the Netflix series centering around the narrative of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The couple received a lot of criticism after they came on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Williams, however, defended the couple on the Netflix show and stated that they were trying to make a family which can also have friends in it. She hoped that both families at the end of it all become amiable.
