Before the start of the Madrid Open, the former world no.1, Naomi Osaka received a wild card to play the tournament. With her current ranking (36), it was tough for the Japanese player to get a direct entry. In the next round, she will face the Spaniard, Sara Sorribes Tormo. It will be interesting to see how far she can go in the tournament.
