Serena Williams expressed her excitement about being honored with the Fashion Icon Award. After receiving the award, she was completely amused as she did not think that she could have won it. The tennis icon, who already won many awards added a new one to her collection.

“I couldn’t really believe it. I was like, no way, and I still feel that it is so cool, and I honestly feel so humble,” said Williams after receiving her award. The award was presented to her by Kim Kardashian at the 2023 CFDA Awards.

Thus, Serena Williams, who has already done so much for the game and beyond added a new accomplishment to her list. With the award, she created a huge milestone and announced her arrival in the fashion industry in style. However, this award was special to her for one more reason.

Serena becomes the first athlete to win this award

This achievement marked a historic moment as Serena Williams became the first athlete to receive the prestigious Fashion Icon award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
