‘Counting Down’ – Former Australian Open Champion Caroline Wozniacki Announces Massive News for Fans as She Shows off Baby Bump

The former Danish tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki, retired from professional tennis in 2020. She, along with her husband, announced the birth of their daughter, Olivia, on the 14th of June, 2021. Now, Caroline Wozniacki’s family is about to get bigger. The former World No.1 announced on Instagram on June 19th of this year that she will soon give birth to her second child. Recently, she shared a picture on Instagram that showed her baby bump.

Caroline Wozniacki has won 30 WTA Tour singles titles during her career. Wozniacki defeated Simona Halep in the Australian Open Finals in 2018 to win her first-ever Grand Slam.

Caroline Wozniacki will soon welcome her second child. The former World Number 1 took to Instagram and announced that she was eagerly waiting the arrival of her second child. Posting a picture of her baby bump, she said, “Counting Down” on her official Instagram account.

She announced about her second pregnancy earlier this year in June. Caroline, with her husband and daughter, was holding an ultrasound scan that confirmed her pregnancy.

Like Wozniacki, Gael Monfils and WTA star Elina Svitolina have become parents after they welcomed their first child earlier this month. Monfils and Svitolina got married in July 2021, announced the birth of their Daughter Skai Monfils on social media on 15th October.
“What a night,” Svitolina posted on Twitter and Instagram.

Caroline Wozniacki’s incredible professional career

Wozniacki spent 71 weeks ranked as Number 1 from October 2010 to January 2012, and again in January 2018. Her farewell match was against Ons Jabeur in the third round of the 2020 Australian Open. She was the first Scandinavian player to reach the top of the WTA rankings and win a Grand Slam.

The Danish superstar won 30 WTA titles in her career, including the 2017 WTA Finals and the Australian Open. She has reached two further Grand Slam finals, both at the US Open. Wozniacki is the only player in history to defeat three different number ones in the same year, which she did in 2017 when she overcame Karolina Pliskova, Garbine Muguruza, and Simona Halep.
