But as she is ready to face the top-seeded tennis player in the title-decided round, it’s scheduled just a day after her opening clash at the Qatar Open, which is in Doha. While she is stuck between situations, she recently slammed the WTA scheduling and raised questions concerning player’s health.

Although reaching the Abu Dhabi final is a huge thing for the Russian tennis player, things are not ready for her in terms of her competitive participation. She recently stated facts regarding how it’s unfair for players to have such terrible scheduling.

Daria Kasatkina has opened up about the impossible facts of WTA scheduling 

After booking her spot in the Abu Dhabi final with a 3-hour victory over Beatriz Haddad Maia, the Russian tennis star is not happy with the way the WTA has scheduled tournaments one after the other. In a press conference after the semi-finals, she talked about how the WTA scheduling is something that does not go with the players.

She stated, “We’re humans trying to do our job the best we can. But under the circumstances, it’s not very easy. I hope this question will be addressed to the right ppl. I’m not crying, I’m just saying the facts and the facts are saying that it’s impossible.”

While she was not done questioning the WTA, she also detailed the possibility of missing out on the tournament and the chance to do better in Doha just because of this schedule.

Kasatkina questions WTA’s intentions after the scheduling chaos 

In the same press conference, she highlighted how it’s not easy for her to finish a tournament one day and start a new one the next day. Not only that, she emphasized on the back that players like her who don’t receive a bye in Doha have to play from the first match itself, while she, on the other hand, has to play the final a day before in the evening.

She also stated, “I have a question, I don’t know to who, to WTA or the tournaments, like, are you guys trying to make players die, or to get injured often?” Along with that, she highlighted how we still don’t have this technology to snap our fingers and be in Doha in 5 seconds for the next event.
