Despite being arch on-court rivals and having a competitive fire within, Venus and Serena Williams have maintained a strong sisterly bond between them. A glimpse of their bond was visible during one of their live videos dating back to 2020.

Going back in time, the year 2020 had the world locked down owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, Venus Williams took up the initiative to launch a series of Instagram lives, titled ‘#CoachVenus’. In the series, Williams collaborated with the who’s who of the sports and fitness world to work out with them while being live on her Instagram channel. Amongst the numerous videos, one video featured Venus with her sister, Serena Williams.

Venus turns Serena Williams’ workout session into a hilarious one

The live video started with Serena giving a brief about her time during the pandemic and her session with Venus. Going ahead in the video, Venus, who was behind the camera at that time, asked Serena, wearing a red Nike T-shirt and black Nike stockings, about her feelings about the workout.

Replying to Venus, Serena started by saying, “About the workout, I’m feeling really confident about it.” While the 23-time Grand Slam champion went ahead elaborating, she had Venus finally accompany her in front of the camera. However, little did Serena know that Venus had some other plans.

While Serena continued with her answer to sister’s question, Venus, meanwhile, took a step back to stand behind a speaking Serena. Explaining her workout, Serena said, “It’s a warmup. So, it’s not gonna be as intensive as some of these workouts that you guys did with, like Shawn Tee, Tracy Anderson, or definitely not Grigor Dimitrov.” While the Instagram live viewers hoped to listen to Serena, their focus was distracted by a hilarious dance of Venus.

While fans laughed off the hilarious scene, Serena, on the other hand, had no idea about how Venus had taken the limelight. However, it was finally towards the end that she gave a glance at Venus. The result? A huge laugh!!
