Since the Palm Beach Gardens property court battle, the stepmother of Venus and Serena Williams has been embroiled in a series of controversies. Amidst all the legal drama, Richard Williams’ wife is now being hit from all angles as she has reportedly gone AWOL to avoid her divorce.

The former Miami stripper, Lakeisha Williams was already in hot waters after she allegedly forged the legendary tennis coach’s signature to acquire his property in Palm Beach Gardens.  Now, the American tennis legend’s stepmother has once again been the target of legal intervention as she refuses to proceed with her divorce.

The legal drama involving Richard Williams and his wife started when she allegedly faked his signature in order to steal the Williams sisters’ childhood home. After having the property in her name, Lakeisha then took a $255,000 loan from David Simon, a “hard lender”,  which later developed into a lengthy court battle.

Lakeisha allegedly used that hefty borrowed amount on a failed trucking business and frivolities. Since then, Serena Williams’ stepmother has been a target of legal action due to the loan that now stands at over $600,000, including interest. Simon, on the other hand, has made various attempts to proceed with the sale of the collateral property to recoup his amount.

However, Lakeisha has remained reluctant by delaying any such sales as she has already filed for bankruptcy on various occasions. This is not the only legal case that Williams’ stepmother is trying to avoid. According to the U.S. Sun, Lakeisha has gone AWOL to avoid any sort of engagement with her husband’s divorce attorneys.

Richard Willaims, on the other hand, is desperate for a divorce after she allegedly stole his Palm Beach Gardens property. Notably, the court has now intervened in the situation after ordering Lakeisha to respond to all of the interrogatories.

Richard’s stepson said Lakeisha is being stubborn about her divorce

The former tennis coach and his son Chavoita Lesane recently made some surprising revelations about Lakeisha. Speaking of all the legal controversies surrounding her, they revealed that she once stole Richard’s vehicle. Apart from this, Chavoita has also shed light on their divorce case which is being delayed repeatedly.

He said that Richard is constantly making attempts to push forward the divorce filings and procedure. However, Lakeisha is “being stubborn” about her deposition amidst the ongoing legal drama.
