Once Williams’ rival, Davenport, believes that the former World No.1 can still deepen her mark on-court if she manages to stay injury-free. Moreover, the former tennis player has been consistently amazed by Williams’ fighting spirit and grit.
However, the Hall of Famer believes that despite her never say never attitude; Williams may not participate in all the tournaments; due to her repeated struggles with injuries and other issues. She said, “But her attitude is remarkable, and her fighting spirit, you always see it on the court, even if things are not going her way.“

Davenport on Williams playing Grand Slam events
During the interview, Davenport also talked about Williams’ chances to play the majors this season. However, the American tennis star hasn’t revealed anything particular about her plans. Davenport anticipated Williams’ eagle-eyed focus on the US Open, this season.
Davenport believes that the 7- time Grand Slam would prefer the same kind of support and energy that her sister received in the US Open. Venus is already going to miss the season’s first Grand Slam event due to an injury.
