The 23 times grand slam champion Serena Williams still have one more thing pending to achieve. The person, who is the idol for the tennis fraternity, “used to want to be an actress.” Well, Williams had aimed for the stars from the beginning and achieved way more than that. However, she is still not done yet. The Queen of the Court recently revealed the conflicts that are holding her back from achieving a prominent goal in her life.

Williams’ entrepreneurial life leaves little time for her to pursue other interests. She is a mother of two and a former athlete, which packs her schedule even more. Launching her fame through her tennis career, Williams found herself dreaming of being an actor. However, the dream had to be put on pause for a variety of reasons.

In a recent interview with People, Williams talked about a dream she is not able to pursue. “I used to want to be an actress really bad. I’m just so busy now, and it’s fine. I like my life. I’m not hanging up my acting career just yet, even though it’s already been hung up, but I’m just loving what I’m doing right now.”

Williams is an entrepreneur, fashion icon, investor, philanthropist, writer, political activist and more. However, the Compton native is sad that she can’t pursue one of her other goals. While the former number 1 is finding it difficult to pursue her acting career, she has appeared in several shows and movies throughout her life. The appearances may have been small cameos, but they served to fire up the dream of being an actress for the 42-year-old.

The impressive resume of Serena Williams’ acting career

Although Williams has not appeared in any piece of media in a lead role like she would want to, she has had guest appearances in many pieces of media throughout her life. Her first appearance came in 2001 in the legendary Fox series, The Simpsons. She appeared on the show as herself, along with Pete Sampras, Venus Williams, and Andre Agassi.

Aside from The Simpsons, Williams has also appeared in My Wife and Kids, Street Time, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Avatar: The Last Airbender, ER, Loonatics Unleashed, and more. She also promoted the live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender series. Her more recent roles took place in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, where she portrayed herself, and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, where she gave voice to Yoga Yvette. 

The Queen of the Court has expressed her desire to go even further in her acting career but is finding it difficult to make time for it. Many production houses will surely aim to get Williams in their narrative since she expressed interest. However, will she be able to make time for it in her schedule?
