The American tennis legend, Serena Williams, moved away from the sport after last month’s US Open. She has given 27 years of her life to the sport, winning 23 Grand Slam titles during that time. However, her fans aren’t done with her just yet, as many are eagerly waiting for the tennis star to return to the sport and play as long as she can.

Serena Williams’ fans want her to play in the 2023 Australian Open

Earlier this year, the 23-time Grand Slam champion stepped away from the sport after playing in the US Open. However, she was not able to compete in this year’s Australian Open because of her injuries. Williams recently took to her Twitter account to share a fun comment session with her fans and tweeted, “Random thought does anyone remember “firefly”? That OG social network? Can’t wait for comments.”

The tennis star’s fans couldn’t hold back and blasted the comment section, requesting the 23-time Grand Slam champion to make a comeback at the Australian Open.

While the tennis star talked about the OG social network, a fan wrote, “I heard they still use it down in Melbourne.”

Another fan recalled the time when Williams played the Australian Open. He wrote, “Do you remember the Australian Open? The OG slam ? Can’t wait for you to go there.” Others soon chimed in with similar requests.

Williams hinted at a comeback

After her retirement from the sport, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was invited as a guest at the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In the show, she talked about how she liked Tom Brady’s comeback from retirement and the ‘cool trend’ that he started.
