Coco Gauff, the young sensational tennis player, shared her excitement over the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup finals. The teenage star is ready to prepare and lead the US challenge. She has her sights set on a triumphant conclusion to the season.

Gauff finished last in each of her three singles and doubles matches at the 2022 WTA Tour Finals. However, she is optimistic that the team format of the Billie Jean King Cup will produce better results.

The player has not been in great form and has faced a string of losses at the WTA Tour Finals.

Gauff is the youngest player to qualify for the WTA Finals in singles since Maria Sharapova in 2005. She added another feather to her cap with her qualification in the doubles title too. Gauff has a quick opportunity to get back in the game at the 2022 Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

The world No. 4 Gauff and world No. 3 Jessica Pegula will lead the US effort.

In her Instagram story, Gauff was quoted as, “23 long hours later spent on a plane or in an airport we finally made it. Go team USA.”

The 18-year-old found it difficult to take anything positive away from her recent matches. With a combined 0-12 record in singles and doubles, Pegula and Gauff had the worst luck this season. When their respective tournaments were finally over, neither could conceal their disappointment. Poland and the Czech Republic will be the American team’s opponents in group play. Coco Gauff should see it as a chance to end her season on a successful note.
