While Serena Williams is gearing up to bring the younger sibling of Olympia into the world, Venus Williams is bracing for a much-anticipated comeback to the WTA Tour. For that, she has been hitting the court and sometimes is bringing her sister too. Clearing queries about Serena’s role on the court, Venus Williams shed light on how her younger sister is assisting her.

The two sisters, both individually and together, have set their legacies on the court. Now, as Venus dives into training for her comeback, Serena is making sure she is by her side.

Despite being the elder sister of the already retired ‘Queen of the Court’, Venus Williams is adamant about making a comeback yet again. On the other hand, Serena Williams is focusing on her pregnancy and her off-court endeavors.

But that does not mean she has abstained herself from hitting the court; at least not when her elder sister is more than happy to get her assistance. In a recent Q&A with her fans, a fan wondered if Serena still plays or practices with Venus. To this, Venus said, “She does come to the court.” However, as an elder sister, she is also concerned about her health because of her pregnancy. So, she said, “The other day I asked her, “Are you allowed to play?” Didn’t wanna pressure. Cuz I really kind of used her for 2-on-1s.”

Despite having a classic sibling-bickering relationship, they also care for each other. Hence she narrated what Serena told her, “And she says, “I don’t wanna ruin it for you.” She added with a laugh, “I am thinking, how can Serena Williams ever ruin it for anybody?”

Moreover, Serena is not letting her pregnancy get in between her inborn ability to strike hard on the court. Concluding, she said, “So, maybe she will do some 2-on-1s with me at some point, but she can definitely still wallop the ball. Doesn’t play as often as I do.”

Serena bid the sport farewell after last year’s US Open, and fans are already wishing for her comeback. And her childhood coach, Rick Macci, has given them some hope.
