Stephens started her 2025 season at the ASB Classic and she performed well in the doubles partnering with Clara Touson, as the duo reached the quarterfinals. They will now face Rebecca Marino of Canada and Tara Moore of Britain tomorrow. However, the singles run of Stephens ended on a sad note as the WTA star lost the Round of 32 match to Ann Li by 5-7, 6-4, and 6-4. Although disappointed, Stephens didn’t let the loss demoralize her. Instead, she spent the last moments of 2024 in a celebratory mood.
The World No. 63 star shared an image on her IG story, where she could be seen posing on top of Auckland’s sky tower. Dressed in a bungee jumping gear along with an expert, Stephens looked excited as she showed a victory sign. “Jumping into 2025 like…,” she captioned her post. Stephens’s act reminded the fans of Naomi Osaka who tried the same a couple of days back in Auckland.
