“Did You See The Dolphins”: Serena Williams and Olympia Vacation in the Middle of an Ocean

After a sad ending to her 2021 Wimbledon campaign, Serena Williams decided to take some time off tennis. She went on a boat ride with her family and luckily for her fans she posted stories with daughter, Olympia Ohanian. The World No.1 posted adorable Instagram stories of their time together, spotting dolphins in the ocean.

Serena had to retire from the Wimbledon Championships, after suffering an ankle injury on court. In her first-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, she was going neck-to-neck with the Belarusian, before injuring herself. As a result of her slip, she twisted her ankle and withdrew from the tournament.

The mother-daughter duo were enjoying their time on a boat in the middle of the ocean, as Serena tried showing her dolphins. Olympia was having trouble spotting the dolphins in the ocean, as Serena tried to adjust the binoculars for her.

Did you see the dolphins?” asked Serena as Olympia tried to spot one. However, the little girl could not find any in the waters. “You wanna go see the seals?” asked Serena in an attempt to show her something. Olympia looked adorable as she tried to search for the creatures in the waters, and Serena sipped on her drink.

Serena married Alexis Ohanian in 2017 and gave birth to Olympia later that year. The couple have boasted several videos and pictures of their young daughter, and now, Olympia is no short of a star herself.

What’s next for Serena?

The 39-year-old veteran player has been going through a rough patch of injuries. With zero titles this year, the American has not had the best of the time this year. Her withdrawal from the Olympic Games followed a sad and premature end to her Wimbledon campaign. This has, however, resulted in Serena getting some time ans space not just to spend with her family but to recover and prepare for the next tournament.

Serena will be hopeful of a comeback at the US Open in New York later in August. She does not have any plans of retiring any time soon and will be hopeful of winning one last Grand Slam title before she bows out.

Serena is one title short of Margaret Court’s record 24 Grand Slam titles. With injuries and age not being on her side, Williams will have to push harder to chase that record.
