The fun fact is that she has lived less than a mile away from them for almost ten years and still did not realize it. In an interview with The Palm Beach Post, she said, “A while ago, I had heard about this young junior player who was traveling with her mother by private plane to tournaments.”

However, she did not know that it was Pegula. Evert stated, “But I wasn’t sure who that was. I didn’t know there was that type of wealth across the street.”
