Bianca Andreescu was having a fantastic time on the tennis circuit. But at the 2023 Miami Open, she suffered a terrible ankle injury that caused her to scream in pain on the court. Now that the tennis star has almost fully recovered from her injuries, she has spoken up about how she overcame the recovery process in order to make a comeback.
The 22-year-old tennis player suffered an unexpected injury during the fourth round of the Miami Open, shocking the tennis world as she was playing well. Her injury was so traumatic that she had to leave the tennis court in a wheelchair. At that time, the 27th-ranked player disclosed that she had ripped two ligaments in her ankle during the match.

Recently, the Canadian tennis player posted a video on her Instagram account. She called out that video as Part 1 of her recovery process. In that video, the tennis player talked about the first few days after she suffered the horrible injury. Andreescu disclosed the situation when she was experiencing the worst pain ever.
She said, “Swollen but not bruised. I could barely move my foot. I did not sleep for the first three days because of the pain.” But this wasn’t the Canadian player’s first experience of suffering an unexpected injury. She sustained a shoulder injury in 2019 before being forced to withdraw from the Tour two years later, in 2021, due to an ankle sprain.
