Serena Williams is currently recovering from a painful injury. However, she manages to keep herself up and running off the court, via social media. The 39-year-old is an active celebrity online, and keeps her fans engaged and up-to-date all the time. In a recent chat on Instagram, Serena revealed how she has been spending her time after her withdrawal from the US Open 2021.
This year has not been the best for the 23-time Grand Slam champion. She was humbled in the majors, and suffered a devastating blow to her ankle at Wimbledon. This meant that the superstar’s chase for the elusive 24th Grand Slam would continue in the following year – 2022. Nonetheless, Serena has finally gotten the time she required to spend with family. As she admitted herself, the mother of a beautiful daughter Olympia now has the time to relax with her loved ones, and watch tennis from home.

As most of her fans may have seen, the veteran tennis legend constantly posts adorable video clips of herself with her family members. She also makes time to interact with her fans, giving them updates every now and then. There is no doubt that the layoff period has been challenging for Williams, considering she is so used to being on the circuit, competing for titles. Yet, it is also perhaps a rejuvenating break that she required.
In a recent Instagram story, Serena asked her fans to question her about anything. Upon being asked how she was doing, the former World No.1 provided a positive update. “How am I doing? I think I’m doing good,” quoted Serena. “I have been enjoying some time at home, which I never get. And I’ve been enjoying kind of watching the US Open, which is different because I’m usually playing.” [Instagram Stories: @serenawilliams]
