Venus Williams’ new hitting partner shares a glimpse of his practice session with Coco Gauff

Pato Zarazua has shared her admiration for Venus Williams before, revealing his experience playing with the legend of the game. A few months ago he reflected on his new job saying, “I’m working with her as her personal hitting partner when she has training weeks at her house. I don’t travel with her, but the weeks that are training I’m there and it’s a work and an incredible experience. She is one of the best players in history, for me, it is an honor to share the court with her whenever I do.

The world number 3 has showcased her admiration for Venus Williams several times in her career. The now-retired tennis sensation has been her idol since she was 4 years old. Reflection on her inspirational figure in tennis Gauff had once said, “Yeah, for me, Venus, the most inspiring thing about her is the love that she has for tennis. I don’t think that love has swayed over the course of her career. I think you can see players who are older now. You can have a feeling they probably don’t love it as much as they did when they started it. I don’t have that feeling with Venus, I hope I’m the same way.”

I feel like I have that same hunger, I tried to continue to reach that level of hunger that she has for every point. No matter what tournament it is, Grand Slam or 250. It seems like she’s just fighting for every point. I think that’s the most inspiring thing in my eyes of Venus Williams,” Coco Gauff.

Although, Gauff doesn’t see herself continuing to play even at the age of 43, like Venus Williams. But she surely wants to win a few more Grand Slam titles to come closer to her idols in tennis!
