Victoria Azarenka‘s farewell message after getting evicted from round four of the ongoing Australian Open tournament has kept many on edge. Azarenka was defeated by Ukrainian tennis star, Dayana Yastremska, ending her journey towards the quarterfinals of the tournament. Many, however, are more concerned over her recent farewell note to the folks.

In a restless match of two hours, Yastremska took over Azarenka by 6-6(6), 6-4. This is how the two-time Australian Open champion had to pause her Grand Slam ambition this time. However, Azarenka’s farewell message made fans anxious over her next on-court performance.

Victoria Azarenka sparks retirement rumor after an early exit

Recently, on her official Instagram account, Victoria Azarenka dropped a farewell post for fans. She wrote- “Thank you Australia. Every match was a lesson, every setback a chance to grow. Win or Learn, every moment on the court taught me something new. Grateful for the opportunity to compete at the Australian Open and ready to take these lessons with me to the next challenge. Onward and upward! #WinOrlearn #LessonsFromTheCourt.” Now, after this message, many are worried, as they speculate a hint of retirement from the post.

While Azarenka didn’t directly write anything about retirement, her reason for not mentioning her participation in the upcoming tournaments made fans think otherwise.

Fans anxious over Victoria Azarenka’s recent post after defeat in the Australian Open

Azarenka’s message has brought concern to her fans. One of her fans commented- “I don’t like the tone of this.” Some were worried since Azarenka mentioned nothing about her recent match or on-court presence, saying “Where’s my ‘until next time’ or ‘see you next year’?”
