In an interview with Hola, she stated, “Yes, I would like to have a family.” However, she also added, “My feeling is that the day I decide will be the day I don’t see myself playing anymore.”
Furthermore, expressing her concern over the arduous cycle of giving birth, she stated, “I am impressed by the difficulty of having children and competing, I don’t know if I would be capable, also because the body changes a lot.” Concluding, she said, “I want to think that the day I decide to have a family it will be a new chapter in my life, but yes, I would love to.”

Muguruza is right about the challenge that childbirth brings into an athlete’s life. Most of the tennis world knows that Serena Williams battled a life-threatening childbirth.
When Williams saved her own life after giving birth to Olympia
After winning the Australian Open in 2017 and announcing her pregnancy, Williams was over the moon. However, childbirth turned out to be more than a challenging tale for Williams. It turned out to be a life-threatening situation. Even after giving birth to Olympia, she was not well. Her blood had started clogging up her lungs and the clots were in danger of reaching her heart. It was only her persistence to get herself checked that eventually saved her life.
