American tennis player Serena Williams and her sister Venus have taken this sport to great heights. These amazing athletes have been nothing but a boon to the elegant sport of tennis. It has been a considerable amount of time since they have been on the Tour and they still continue to amaze youngsters in the game.
Over the years, they have faced each other on a number of occasions. However, it’s Serena who leads the head-to-head tally. She has won 19 matches whereas Venus won 12.

The dominance of Venus and Serena Williams has been phenomenal
Both players have held the top spot in the rankings. Venus has held it for 11 while Serena has held it for 316 weeks.
Recently, Venus was asked a question as to whom she likes to compete with on the WTA Tour. Even though Serena appeared as the obvious choice, the elder Williams sister mentioned that she didn’t like facing Serena Williams.
Speaking on this subject, Venus had nothing but praise for her sister.
“I don’t like Serena because she is very hard to beat and I don’t like facing her serve.”

Been out for a while now
Coming to tennis, both sisters have not participated in any of the tournaments this year. Injuries kept their comeback on hold and the legendary sisters are planning to make a return soon on the WTA tour. It is good that they are taking their time and not rushing their respective comebacks, which could harm them in the future.

Nonetheless, we wish them a speedy recovery and hope to see them in action soon. All eyes will be on them when they decide to walk on the courts once again. It will also be interesting to see if Serena can win the much-awaited 24th Grand Slam title of her career.
