Alexis Ohanian is a sociable individual who has a great bond with many in his life. However, his mother’s impact on him is one of the strongest. Unfortunately, Ohanian’s mother passed away in 2008, in the early stages of Reddit. She passed away due to cancer borne of a brain tumor. But Ohanian was left with great memories of his mother.

He showed the vivid memories of his time with his mother in a recent Twitter post. The business magnate replied to a tweet that talked about how one can understand the perspective of their parents. Ohanian wrote that his mom asked him to live for himself instead of anyone else.

He wrote, “Thankful my mom’s career advice was to make sure I lived for myself (not what I thought she or my dad wanted) and spend time on problems I enjoyed solving. Timeless advice tbh 🙏.”
