Legendary British singer Elton John recently performed his last-ever show in the United States. John is a living legend and has fans across all disciplines and countries. Tennis legends Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King are two of his ardent followers.
While John performed for one last time in the US, unsurprisingly, King was present there. Martina Navratilova also paid tribute to the legendary singer.

Tennis world unites to salute Elton John
Elton John performed for one last time in the US. The legendary singer performed at the Dodgers stadium. Billie Jean King was present there to hand over the $1M cheque to John. The money will go Elton John AIDS Foundation as a donation.
Later, John took to his Twitter account to thank the organizers and Billie Jean King. The tennis star also shared the post and thanked John.

Billie Jean King is a trendsetter in women’s sports

American tennis legend Billie Jean King was among the first few female sports stars to raise her voice against gender inequality in the sporting world. The way she played and ruled the game changed the way how people perceived women’s tennis.
She debuted in 1968 and had a long career that ended in 1990. The American legend won 12 Grand Slam titles in her illustrious career. Apart from her brilliant performances on the court, she, along with several prominent women players at the time, founded the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) in 1973.
