At US Open 2021, Emma Raducanu miraculously lifted her maiden Grand Slam title. Coming from the qualifying stages, the 18-year-old reached the zenith without dropping a single set throughout the competition. However, at Indian Wells, she tumbled in her first game itself against Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus.

Recently, Raducanu announced good news for her fans as she confirmed her participation at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament scheduled in November. The tournament will start from 6th November and will stretch until 12th November in Linz, Austria.

Emma Raducanu announces her involvement in Austria

After a disappointing performance at Indian Wells, Raducanu pulled out from the ongoing Kremlin Cup. Just recently, she has confirmed her participation at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament. Aryna Sabalenka is the current defending champion of the event.

In a video shared from WTA Linz’s account, Raducanu said, “Hey there, it’s Emma, I’m very excited to be coming to the Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament this November. Hope to see you there. Bye.” Evidently, the 18-year-old is excited to be back on the tour and hopes to kick off the tournament with much optimism.

After a scintillating display of her game at the US Open, Emma Raducanu entered the Indian Wells as a top contender for the title. Raducanu faced the Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich in her second round. The Brit received a bye for the first round, a huge change after her qualifying run at the Grand Slam.

However, right from the start, Raducanu looked rusty, and she gave away the first set cheaply. Despite losing the first set, the Brit made a fine comeback in the second set. She impressively took a 4-2 lead against Sasnovich. But the Belarusian broke for the fifth time and took a lead of 5-4. Subsequently, she won the last game of the match and recorded a magnificent victory.
