Emma Raducanu showcased a spectacular set of skills as she clinched her maiden Grand Slam title at US Open 2021. The 18-year-old beat Leylah Fernandez in straight sets in the finals to make history. She became the first tennis player to win a Grand Slam title as a qualifier.
After captivating the title at the Flushing Meadows, Raducanu has set sight on the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The Brit received a wild card main draw in the tournament. However, she’ll play alongside some of the finest talents, like Simona Halep, Kim Clijsters, Elina Svitolina, and Iga Swiatek.

If Raducanu progresses to the third round, she’ll face the two-time Grand Slam champion and her idol, Simona Halep. It would be challenging to see how Emma Raducanu approaches the former World No.1.
The 18-year-old would face either Petra Kvitova or Victoria Azarenka in the fourth-round contest if she surpasses Halep. Considering she overcomes in the fourth round, Raducanu has a high chance of facing Elina Svitolina of Ukraine in the quarter-finals.
