Raducanu’s path to the finals of BNP Paribas Open

After achieving the zenith at US Open, Emma Raducanu will be playing at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The 18-year-old has been handed a wild card for the main draw of the competition. As a result, she has luckily received a bye in the first round.

Subsequently, her second-round competitor will be either World No. 71, Maria Camila Osorio, or World No. 100, Aliaksandra Sasnovich. Given her recent form, fans will expect the Brit to cruise to victory with ease, regardless of whom she faces.

If Raducanu progresses to the third round, she’ll face the two-time Grand Slam champion and her idol, Simona Halep. It would be challenging to see how Emma Raducanu approaches the former World No.1.

The 18-year-old would face either Petra Kvitova or Victoria Azarenka in the fourth-round contest if she surpasses Halep. Considering she overcomes in the fourth round, Raducanu has a high chance of facing Elina Svitolina of Ukraine in the quarter-finals. Like Raducanu, Svitolina too has been in great form for the last three months. Hence, an enticing clash awaits.
