“I know I’m a dangerous player,” said Emma Raducanu while discussing her plans for the upcoming season. Ever since her iconic 2021 US Open title, she has failed to maintain momentum, and injuries have been her dear friend. However, 2024 proved to be a turning point in her life. Coming into the new year, she is hopeful of turning things around. Building anticipation around the same, a tennis insider clarified her thoughts but had only one concern.

Emma Raducanu’s 2024 season showed her determination as the former US Open champion battled injuries and worked her way back up the rankings. Once ranked outside the top 300 at the start of the year, Raducanu ends the season at world No. 59, a testament to her dedication despite setbacks. Casey Dellacqua, a former tennis pro, expressed optimism about Raducanu’s future. In a recent podcast at the AO Show, she stated, “She’s just got to get her body right, and that ranking will continue to rise”underscoring the need for Emma to keep herself fit. She might have minor concerns related to her health, however, at the same time, she also thinks the player has already proved she can overcome fitness-related changes.

“Look, I think every player in their career goes through these periods where they have, like, multiple injuries, or they’re just trying to get their body into the best shape that they can possibly get to from an injury perspective. And Emma Raducanu has had multiple surgeries, wrists, constant battles, getting onto the court consistently and playing at her best. So I think we know the type of player she is,” she further added.
