“I’m so excited to be in the finals.. being half Korean and being able to be in the final here is something I can always say. Hopefully I can win. Nonetheless, it’s an honor. So I’m really happy,” mentioned Pegula in the post-match speech.

Jessica’s mom and dad are the multi-millionaire owners of the Buffalo Bills, a team in the National Football League (NFL). Pegula, through an interview, talked about her Korean origin and praised her mom for all the things that she has done in the world of sports.

“A lot of people don’t know that I’m half-Korean,” said Pegula in an interview. “A lot of the stuff that my mom did, being an Asian woman in sports, is really a big deal.”
