Drake downed a shot and referred to Serena Williams’ husband as a groupie in the song ‘Middle of the Ocean.’ However, the American businessman provided a very refined and classic response, which won over his fans.

Several years ago, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was rumored to be in a relationship with the Canadian rapper before getting married to the Reddit co-founder.

Fans blasted Drake for disparaging Serena Williams’ husband in his song

Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams’ fans are upset that his name is being disparaged in Drake’s song. Even Alexis Ohanian’s response arrived exactly in time to illustrate what a ‘groupie’ means in terms of a family man. However, it was not that simple; the rapper uploaded constant hints on his social media about their rumored relationship. After that, he included a reference of the American tennis legend in his song ‘Worst Behavior’.

But when Wimbledon 2015 rolled along, the rapper was seen supporting Serena once again and paid close attention to her matches. The 36-year-old hailed the tennis star on his social media page after she won the 2015 Wimbledon championship. However, the interest in their alleged relationship gradually lost interest among fans as Serena met Ohanian and eventually married him in 2017.
