Meanwhile, Williams’ mention of Barack Obama comes from her good relationship with the former POTUS. The two even met at the White House when Obama was President. During their meeting, Williams shared an interesting conversation she had with Obama.

When Williams met Obama

In 2009, Williams was readying to play in the World Team tennis match with the Washington Kastles. Before that match, she met then-President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. Williams said of that meeting, “It was amazing. I love President Obama; he has such an unbelievable presence, and he seems to be so normal — and he noticed my shoes. I think that was the highlight of the whole day, was he liked my shoes.”

Revealing what Obama said to her about her shoes, Williams mentioned, “He asked me, ‘Should I be wearing high heels?’ So I thought that was kind of funny because he may have been right. Because it is a job hazard for me, but I insist on wearing them.”

As a result, Williams mentioned Obama’s name when Olympia asked her about the President when she was born, given their memorable meeting. On the other hand, six-year-old Olympia remains her natural self by asking curious questions to her mother.
