After being out of the tour for a year, Eugenie Bouchard is back on the court, practicing for a strong comeback. Today, 19th March, she took to her Instagram, giving the tennis community a sneak peek into her high-intensity practice session.

Bouchard reached the finals of the 2021 Guadalajara Open, losing to Sara Sorribes Tormo. She then played at the Monterrey Open but suffered a first-round loss. Feeling pain in her right shoulder, she consulted a doctor, only to get diagnosed with torn subscapularis in the right shoulder. Bouchard decided to undergo surgery in June. The surgery not only forced her to rest but also pull-out from the remainder 2021 season.

The Canadian regularly updates her fans and followers about the happenings and whereabouts of her life off-court. Even though fans love her off-court activities, they keep on wondering about her possible comeback.

Being an aggressive baseliner, forehand has always been one of the crucial aspects of Bouchard’s game. Her ability to adapt to the conditions and a strong baseline game have brought her massive success in beating some of the biggest names in the sport. In the next two stories, the former World No. 5 indulged in some high-intensity front-back movement forehand shots from the baseline.

A two-handed backhand has been the most effective stroke in Bouchard’s game for a long time. Hitting powerful and deep backhand strokes allows Bouchard to push her opponents to the back of the court and gives her the room to finish the point. In the next story, Bouchard was seen polishing her strokes, hitting some powerful backhand shots.
