Bouchard announces good news about her return
Before injury derailed her career, she had a breakout year in 2014. During that year, she reached the semi-final in both the Australian Open and the French Open. Then, she played the final at the Wimbledon Championships, where she lost to Petra Kvitova. After that, injuries and various other stuff ruined her career. In 2021, she suffered a big setback after tearing up her shoulder. Now, she is slowly making her way back into tennis.

Since December, she started her comeback, as she posted a video hitting a tennis ball for the first time in eight months. A few weeks back, she played an exhibition match against American tennis star Sofia Kenin. In the same exhibition tournament, she played doubles with former German tennis player Tommy Haas. Later, in another exhibition match, the Canadian tennis player played against Alison Riske.

Now, she will officially make her comeback on the tour in April at the US Pro Women’s Clay Court Championships 2022. According to the tournament, she received a wild card to start her comeback campaign. She herself shared the news on her Instagram story. It will be interesting to see if she regains her previous form after not playing for almost a year.
